Donation Archive Installation

This installation is an expansion of the À la Cart Performance Webshop’s Chapter in Which We Receive a Donation. In this performance chapter, Jan and Sekirnik deal with the topic of governmental support for the arts. Since this kind of support is often connected to financial support, the authors ask themselves and the audience how it would be possible to broaden the understanding of the concept of support.

Therefore they ask the audience to come on stage and propose non-financial donations that could help the artists and their future work. The donations are then archived and become part of the Donation Archive Installation that can be ordered as a separate installation or as an accompanying program of the À la Cart Performance Webshop event.

In the installation, the authors exhibit the items received during the implementations of the Chapter in Which We Receive a Donation or during exhibitions of the Donation Archive Installation where the visitors are also invited to contribute their proposals.
